NOISIEST STATE

Researchers have found that New Jersey tops the list of the loudest states in the country. From heavy traffic to countless airplanes flying over crowded communities, New Jersey far and away ranked as the noisiest state in the country. To put the state’s noise level into context, researchers gave it a noise score of 52.87. That was more than 10 points more than the next loudest state on the list, Massachusetts.
