A high-speed chase on Sunday in Acadia Parish ended in a crash and arrest. Authorities were pursuing a stolen vehicle on Sunday, March 3, and the chase ended at East Branch Street in Rayne. The vehicle deputies with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office were chasing ended up flipped over on its side. Sheriff KP Gibson said no one was seriously hurt. The driver was checked out at a local hospital and then arrested.
A shooting involving an officer with the Scott Police Department in which one person was injured is being investigated by Louisiana State Police.
