The duo was founded in 1990 through the suggestion of songwriter and record producer Tim DuBois.
Kix and Ronnie had 20 go to the top spot on the chart.
Brooks and Dunn also won the Country Music Association Vocal Duo of the Year award every year between 1992 and 2006, except for 2000.
On August 10, 2009, Brooks and Dunn announced that they would be splitting up after a tour titled The Last Rodeo.
On December 3, 2014, Brooks & Dunn were announced to be reuniting to perform a series of concerts in Las Vegas with Reba McEntire in mid to late 2015.
