Are Dog Years Real?

DOG YEARS MYTH

The calculation of seven dog years to one human year is wrong. Research from the American Veterinary Medical Association found that 15 human years is equal to the first year of a medium-sized dog’s life. The second year of life is about nine years for a person. After age two, each human year is approximately five years for a dog.
