Sr. Cpl. Segus Jolivette, a fallen Lafayette SWAT officer, was laid to rest on Thursday.
Lafayette police said a motorcycle officer was rear-ended by a vehicle on Wednesday, July 31, and the driver, who investigators believe was impaired at the time, has been arrested. Officials said the officer was taken to a local hospital and listed in serious but stable condition.
