Sandbag Locations in Acadiana

Lafayette Parish

 *   North District site at 400 N Dugas Road (located off North University Avenue)

  *   Picard Park at 130 Park Drive.

Both sites are open during daylight hours.

Bags and sand are available at no cost to residents; both sites are self-bagging and residents must bring their own shovel and manpower.

Broussard

  • Broadview Drive is near the Broussard Community Center

  • Deer Meadow Subdivision is near the corner of Deer Meadow Blvd & Myette Point St.

  • Broussard City Hall, in the back of the facility, at 310 East Main Street Behind Dumpster

You must bring your own shovel and put sand in the bag yourself.

Carencro

  • Carencro Community Center – Proof of residency is required.  Self-bagging.

Duson – Town Hall (337) 873-6754

Scott

    • Scott Public Works Building 118 Lions Club Rd. Self-bagging, bring shovel.

Youngsville

      • South District – 1017 Fortune Rd.

ACADIA PARISH

Crowley –  Sandbags can be picked up at the City of Crowley Public Works Department from 7:30 am – 3:00 pm until further notice.  A valid driver’s license must be presented.  6 sandbags will be issued to each person with a valid’s driver’s license.

Parish Residents: Sandbags start tomorrow from 7 to 4:30. Pickup will be at the Crowley Barn. 247 Roller Rd.

 CALCASIEU PARISH

Sandbag locations and addresses:

      • Ward 1 Barn – 461 Parish Road, Moss Bluff

      • Ward 2 Barn – 7085 La. 14 East, Hayes

      • Ward 3 Old Barn – 2320 Smith Road, Lake Charles

      • Old Kroger building- the intersection of Beglis Parkway and Napoleon Street, Sulphur

      • Ward 5 Barn – 129 Third St., Starks

      • Ward 6 Barn – 1275 Plum St., DeQuincy

      • Ward 8 Barn – 1726 Parish Barn Road, Iowa.

    While the sand and bags are provided, residents must bring their own shovels and fill their own bags. These facilities are not staffed with personnel.

    IBERIA PARISH

    St. Martin Parish

    Limit 25 bags per vehicle.

    Breaux Bridge

    Baldwin

    Baldwin residents only.  Limit 10 bags per household.  Bring your own shovel and manpower.

    Vermilion Parish

    Sand and bags will be ready for Vermilion resident for them to go and fill their own at noon today at the following locations:

      • LSU County Agents Office, 1105 West Port St. Abbeville.

      • Area 1 Barn, 13115 Mack Switch Road, Erath, LA

      • Area 2 Barn, 12002 Calvin Lebouef Road, Abbeville, LA

      • Area 3 Barn, 29429 Veterans Memorial Drive, Gueydan, LA

      • Area 4 Barn, 13531 Gladu Road, Kaplan, LA

Kaplan Residents Only. Sand and sandbags are available at the city yard, 412 S Herpin Ave. The yard will be open from 7 AM – 4 PM daily. THIS IS FOR CITY RESIDENTS ONLY. Due to staffing issues, we will not be able to make sand bags or to load them. Please bring a shovel and someone to load the bags.
