Major Drug Arrest in Acadiana

Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz reports, “On February 24, 2025, St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detectives conducted a narcotics operation at Go-Bears Southern Eatery, 1676    I-49 Service Road, Grand Coteau, LA. The detectives had information that Jarvonte Vondell Francis, AKA “Donkey”, was making a large delivery of Fentanyl to the location. After establishing surveillance, a white 4-door Jeep arrived with Francis as the passenger and a female driver, later identified as Shamitha Hulbert.” Sheriff Guidroz continues, “The officers conducted a traffic stop and subsequently found four ounces of suspected Fentanyl with a street value of $46,000.00, a Glock 9mm pistol and $3,820.00 in U.S. Currency in Francis’ possession.” Sheriff Guidroz also states, “Detective learned of a “stash house” located at 301 Birch Drive Apt. 116 in Lafayette, LA. With the assistance of the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office, a search warrant was obtained and the following items found:

  • 4 ounces of Fentanyl with a street value of $64,000.00

  • One Browning Buck Mark .22 caliber pistol

  • One Diamondback AR-15 style pistol w/30 round magazine

Francis was booked in the St. Landry Parish Jail on the stated charges.” Sheriff Guidroz concluded, “We applaud the efforts of our Narcotics Detectives and thank the prompt assistance from the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit in this
effort.”
